Emancipation Day Service

Join us for a powerful Emancipation Day Service, “Meet the Moment: Freedom’s Unfinished Work,” honoring both Florida’s May 20th Emancipation Day and Juneteenth. Through story, song, and spirit, we’ll reflect on freedom as a living, ongoing journey—and what it asks of us in a time of rising attacks on marginalized communities. Together, we’ll honor our ancestors, recommit to collective liberation, and affirm a core truth of our Unitarian Universalist faith: none of us is free until all of us are free.  All are welcome. Everyone will be invited to participate in community singing of songs of freedom of hope. Light refreshments will be served before the service.

*Note: This special gathering will be in person only, as it also serves as the recording for the UUA General Assembly’s 2025 Juneteenth Worship.
