There’s a new documentary out that has yet to be released. It’s title is “Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America”. It’s written by and features former ACLU Deputy Legal Director Jeffery Robinson. Jeffery Robinson has spent 10 years delivering a powerful, deeply researched presentation to audiences around the country as a way to “correct the narrative about white supremacy and racism in America” The film highlights segments from his celebrated three-hour talks with archival footage, new interviews, and Robinson’s own gripping personal story.
The documentary becomes part of the wider movement for more truthful education in schools, institutions, and corporate offices, – a reckoning that syncs with the ACLU’s Systemic Equality Agenda and the UUA’s 8th Principal Initiative, both, initiatives designed to eradicate racist policies that continue to harm Black and Indigenous people.
In the film and in his work, Robinson invites each of us to interrogate how we contribute to our country’s racist legacy and what we’re willing to do to effect true change.
