“As the election season approaches, we are invited to reflect on the opportunities—small and great—that arise for repair, growth, and change within our communities and within ourselves. Inspired by What Do You Do With a Chance? by Kobi Yamada and Mae Besom, this service considers the transformative power of taking risks and embracing moments of opportunity. Like the child in Yamada’s story who encounters a chance, we may find ourselves hesitant, unsure of what to do, and sometimes even afraid. Yet, with courage and openness, we can seize these moments to repair what’s broken, both personally and collectively. Together, we’ll explore the call to engage meaningfully in a world that calls for healing, justice, and active participation. Join us as we ready ourselves to encounter our “”chances”” for repair this season with hope, courage, and resolve.
