What exactly are GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and are you concerned about eating these foods? For thousands of years, humans have been modifying foods, and most of us have been eating these foods without even knowing it. Are these foods healthier? Are they good for us and are they good for the environment? Why do we do it? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
This month, at our next Food for Thought meeting on Thursday, November 17th at 7:00 PM, Steve Urse, one of our Food for Thought members will lead a discussion about GMOs and share with us what he has learned about GMOs and some of the pros and cons. Bring your thoughts, your questions, and your concerns about genetically modified foods so that we can have a lively discussion.
