Has your UUCT ministry team or affinity group covenanted yet? If not (or if you don’t know) please have a conversation about covenanting at your next meeting! It’s an uncomplicated process; just complete a short online form.
For a ministry team, you need to know three things:
Team name: A team name does not have to include the word “team.”
Mission: Briefly describe your ministry work. Think of what you would say to a potential team member or look at the UUCT website to see how it describes your team.
Origin: How was the team established? The choices are:
A permanent team, listed in the UUCT bylaws:
- Worship Ministry Team
- Religious Exploration Ministry Team
- Pastoral Care Ministry Team
(not in bylaws, but an existing team)
- Initiated by staff
- Initiated by the UUCT board
- Existing team but initiation not known OR
- A new team
If you are a new team, the covenant page will ask for the names of three members. If you are an existing team, the covenant page asks for the name of the person submitting the form and a contact email for the team (or a team member).
That’s all!
If you are an affinity group, it is even simpler. Two questions! The group name, the shared affinity of your members, plus the name of the person submitting the form along with a contact email for the group (or a group member).
