Academia has had a problematic history when dealing with people that are studied and worked with for research. It is the goal of this service to break from this history and give back to the UUCT community by sharing the research which has allowed me to continue my studies in the field of Musicology.

Zachary Moreau is a Musicology scholar at FSU who studies the intersections between
race, gender, religion, and music. He finished his master’s degree this past May and will
be returning to FSU in the fall for his Ph.D. Zachary’s work focuses on person-centered
ethnography with an explicit focus on decolonial methodologies. He plans on applying
these methods not only towards his research, but also upon the classroom setting
where he wishes to teach collegiate music studies.
