Hello, friends! It’s March and I am so happy to be back!
My parental leave was such a beautiful baby bubble. Mike, Sylvie, and I are all so grateful for the work that y’all did to support my leave, especially Project DRE Baby Task Force folks and everyone who brought us a meal! Thank you again.
This March, our Soul Matters theme is Paying Attention. It began with a wonderful service, the Stewardship Follies! As this month continues, may we explore different ways of being present to the moment, ourselves, and one another.
Would you like to help with Worship this month or next? We need Worship Associates and other Worship helpers in March and April. Email me at worship@uutallahassee.org to sign up for a date or get more info. We’ll cover a lot of this in Co-Lab on 3/3 too!
Religious Exploration is looking for Sunday volunteers! Are you interested? Email me at religious.exploration@uutallahassee.org
Our annual UUCT Easter Egg Hunt will be on April 5th, right after service! Interested in helping? Let me know!
Bridging will be on May 17th this year. We’ll honor our graduating seniors (I know of one so far! Kudos Anne Burner-Reeves!) Is your UUCT youth also graduating high school in 2026? We also like to honor all the mini-bridges we cross at this annual service, so I invite families with kiddos of all ages to attend this multigenerational service!
General Assembly for the UUA is June 14 – 21 this year. It’s primarily online this year, though we’ll have opportunities to gather as a community to participate. For example, we’ll livestream the Sunday Worship during our usual worship time, though it will end at 12:30pm.
Harmony Camp Planning is underway! We are trying to determine dates for the camp. My goal is to have this determined by 3/15!
Our Whole Lives programming is also being discussed. Our goals for the next year include offering a Grades 10-12 OWL program and a Grades 4-6 OWL program.
This covers a lot of my big focuses as I get back in the groove. What a busy few months til the end of the church year!
Lots of love,
Alessandra Nysether-Santos, they/she
