Message from the DRE: Happy November

Happy November, friends!

This time of year always seems to fly by. We have lots of exciting stuff going on. Check out these events, including a generosity project, OWL conversations, a Southern region middle/high school youth con, and more!

NOVEMBER EVENTS

RE November Generosity Drive: RE will explore charitable giving of money, time, and energy in action again this November.

TREASURE: On Sundays throughout November, our friends and members of all ages are invited to bring in small change, dry food, and new or gently used clothing to contribute to our RE Generosity Drive.

TIME AND TALENT: This month, RE also encourages kids and families to choose one of the following service opportunities to help with as they are willing and able:

11/9/24 UUCT Church Workday from 9am – 2pm

11/16/24 Manna on Meridian Distribution Day
at Faith Presbyterian from 8 – 10am

Other projects? Let Alessandra know!

11/7/24, 5:30-6:30pm on Zoom: OWL Elementary Interest Meeting: Are you the parent or caregiver of a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader? Are you an OWL facilitator? Please join us for an interest meeting to plan Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education for our local upper elementary kids. Our goal is for this session to begin in or around January 2025.

*If your kids are in K-3, please feel welcome to join us too! We’ll talk about that programming happening maybe in the Spring or Summer.

11/16/24, 11:00am-5:00pm online or in-person, Constellation Youth Summit: Host congregations from around the Region will be the meeting place for these teams, connected in real time and through virtual communication methods. It will be a livestream, simulcast, play based, connective, brainstorm of stellar youth and adult souls dreaming up new possibilities for youth ministry.

*11/22/24, 6:30-8:30pm at UUCT in the Sanctuary, Conscious Discipline Training: Sadie Ragans has offered to provide a training in Conscious Discipline to whomever is interested, such as parents, grandparents, or anyone else who may interact with children and are curious about learning more. This is a free workshop! RSVP to Alessandra by 11/15 to reserve your spot. Childcare can be provided if needed.
