Capital Area Justice Ministry (CAJM) Celebrates!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for siding with justice and showing up at CAJM’s Nehemiah (Inter)Action on April 21. Unofficially, there were 723 people who leaned into the moment. Bryan Stringer, the CAJM Director, is still crunching the numbers by congregation, but I know UUCT showed up in person and on ZOOM.

Mark your calendar for May 19 for our CAJM Celebration from 6 to 7 pm at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church at 2333 Lake Bradford Rd. It is a PARTY where we celebrate our victories and launch fundraising efforts. Network members, come celebrate what your commitment has meant. This is a good time to fulfill your 2026 pledge. Everyone else, come party with us and learn what CAJM is doing. Join the network.

Every level of participation matters!

· If you attend only the Nehemiah Action, it matters.

· If you are a network member who attends three meetings, makes a financial commitment, and brings people to the Nehemiah Action, it matters.

· If you are a network member who also works on a committee to focus our efforts, it matters!

Besides making our community better for all people, your participation lets people in the community know who we are and what is important to us.

What you get from CAJM depends on what you put into it. I am proud of the solid justice work we have done with CAJM, but the number of relationships that I have developed across faith traditions was a surprising outcome for me. Prior to CAJM, I could count my friends in other local congregations on my fingers and toes. Now, I have over one hundred such friends. It has enriched my life.
