Deep Listening: Ancestors & the Changing of Seasons

In this service, we explore the sacred practice of deep listening, inspired by the wisdom of our ancestors and the rhythms of the changing seasons. Drawing from a poetry and music that reminds us to “listen more often to things rather than beings,” we will reflect on how the voices of fire, wind, and water carry the breath of those who came before us. As autumn calls us further inward, we will honor the presence of our ancestors in nature’s sounds and the spaces between. Join us in listening deeply to beloved ancestors and the world, for the dead are not simple “dead under the earth.”
