It was April 17th in 2007 when UUCT’s solar system was inaugurated, and its 10Kw solar panel array has been providing power to our church ever since. UUCT was the first church in Tallahassee to install solar on its campus. Since that time only two other churches have followed suit but many homes with rooftops unfettered by trees have done the same. It’s only fitting that the system was installed only a few days before Earth Day in 2007. Our solar array is a shining symbol of UUCT’s commitment to the earth and a true recognition of our place in the interdependent web of life as put forth in our 7th Principle.
