Year-to-date, our pledge collections stand at $163,947 in an annual budget of $248,558. That’s 65.96% in the bank during the first half of this fiscal year, with 50% as the December target.
Meanwhile, expenses remain in check, at $127,110 year-to-date, or 46.62% of their pro-rated 50% target for December.
Netting out total income from all sources and expenses, the former exceed the latter by $3,610 for the month and $55,757 for the year– figures that include prior year pledges. Even excluding prior year pledges, we are $46,028 in the black for the first half of the year.
Outside the operating budget, December’s Sunday plate collections included $643 for the Minister’s Discretionary Fund and $483 for Big Bend Homeless Coalition – a charity dedicated to providing services needed to prevent and end homelessness in our community.
Total expenses paid from the operating account for Reverend Levwood’s ordination and installation was $6,350, somewhat under the $7,000 budgeted amount. A donation of $500 designated to be applied to these expenses was received. The operating bank account was reimbursed the remaining $5,850 from the endowment fund in December.
As we all transition into a new year, the finance committee is transitioning to a new Disbursing Treasurer. We thank Ev Anderson for his years of dedicated service in this capacity. Ron Clark has accepted the invitation to step into this position as of January 1. Ron is a former CPA with more than 20 years of tax preparation and accounting experience and is excited to be able to serve the UUCT community in this capacity.
Respectfully submitted,
Ron Clark, Disbursing Treasurer
