Share the Plate for 2023-2024

The Share the Plate program is one of the principal ways UUCT members interact with community non profit organizations. This year we will be supporting 13 organizations which serve the Tallahassee and Big Bend Area.

We are experimenting with a slightly different schedule this year. Each organization has one Sunday each quarter. We have tried to match the organizations with state or national holidays. For example, Manna on Meridian, a food pantry, has Sundays in November and December, near Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The UUCT member will either be talking about the non profit they are championing on the appointed Sunday or they will have a blurb read by the Worship Associate. They may have invited a representative from the non profit to visit us.

The 13 organizations and their champions are:

  • Manna on Meridian – Carolyn Pardue
  • Second Harvest – Carolyn Pardue
  • Kearney Center – Karen Share
  • Grace Mission – Maggie Bowden
  • Family Promise of the Big Bend (Formerly Big Bend Homeless Coalition) – Bob Deyle
  • NAACP – Ed Oaksford
  • Tallahassee Food Network – Rosa Morgan
  • Tallahassee Community Action Committee – Robin Gray
  • Food Not Bombs – Rei Meyers
  • Humanists of Tallahassee – Warren Brackmann
  • ReThink Energy – Kim Ross
  • City Walk Urban Mission – Amy Doyle
  • Indaba Theatre of Florida – Aun-Drey Brown

We thank you in advance for your continuing support.
