UUCT’s Care Team is a vital part of the congregation’s shared ministry, expanding the reach of care beyond a minister or membership coordinator. In partnership with the Minister and Board, this dedicated group of lay volunteers is trained to listen with compassion, offer empathetic  support without judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Through phone calls, texts, cards, and visits, the Care Team reaches out to those experiencing isolation, loss, or stressful life transitions, offering a steady presence of care and support.

The team also organizes special gatherings such as monthly in-person potlucks and online Caring Conversations to foster connection and create opportunities for meaningful engagement. Additionally, they host events like the Inauguration Day Emotional Holding Drop-in Space and plan to host The Milo Ministry, a sacred space to grieve the loss of a beloved pet.
