This is a definitive educational presentation covering mid-term election ballot measures. As often happens, the impact of passing an amendment can be more complex than first appears. This presentation helps voters understand the proposals that, whether voted for or against, could affect their daily lives for years to come.

League of Women Voters representatives Trish Neely and Ernie Paine will cover both the constitutional and local charter ballot amendments and referendums appearing on Florida’s November ballot. This educational presentation aims to make a potentially dry and confusing topic clear, accessible, and engaging. Q&A to follow.

Trish Neely is a dedicated community advocate and non-profit volunteer. She has been a long-time supporter of the League’s public policy positions through the years. Trish believes strongly in an informed, engaged and voting electorate at all levels of government to realize a more perfect democracy.

Ernie Paine is a community advocate dedicated to increasing public knowledge and understanding of our political system. Ernie believes there has never been a more critical time for the League of Women Voters and community partners to educate voters to make informed decisions about government at all levels.
