Finance Committee 

Last month’s Finance Committee Report was reviewed and motion to approve was passed.

Staff Liaison Reports 

Adriane is working very hard for the Pledge Drive, Alessandra is back, and Valerie is pleased to know her request for more hours has been added to the budget request. 

Committee on Shared Ministry (COSM) 

Erika Frisby will continue on the Committee for March and Nao Bethea is now an active member.

Unity Churches and United Church 

Sadie was contacted by Unity Church of Tallahassee and Unity Church Eastside to help promote their events. Unity has also contacted the United Church of Tallahassee to ask the same. They would like to help promote our events as well. Sadie will reach out to Adriane to make sure doing this will not unnecessarily add to anyone’s work load and we will move on from there. 

Manual of Policies and Procedures (MPP) 

Annette is working with Gwendolyn to revise and update the MPP. 

Celebrating Stewardship 

Recognition of those who steward our congregation will start during services in March. Discussions were had on how best to do this to make sure no one is inadvertently missed. We will announce this

plan on Sunday, March 1 and the rest will be decided via Zoom on Wednesday, March 4th at 9:30 am. 

Safety 

Annette suggests designating a Board Member or two on Sunday mornings as the “Person on Duty” in the event of an emergency. We would also like to further review and develop safety policies and procedures regarding potential safety concerns on Sunday mornings. We will reach out to other churches to ask about their safety measures as well as review what the UUA recommends. We will reach out to Alessandra for further guidance. 

Right Relations 

Kim spoke with a representative from the Florida UUA regarding COSM and the Committee on Right Relations. She suggested we research trainings offered by the UUA as well as review our charges for COSM and Right Relations in the MPP. Kim suggested contacting the Leadership Team about the training recommended to us: “Tending Covenant: Training for Right Relations 330” – UUInstitute. 

Annette will do Board training and also said the New England region is using March as small congregation month, offering webinars for congregations like ours. 

Announcements: 

Annette will be out of the country from the end of April until the first week in June. She will work with Bonnie to prepare for her absence. 

Bonnie will be out of town May 5-12. 

The Congregational Budget Meeting in May for the new fiscal year has been changed from the 24th to the 17th due to Memorial Day weekend. Annette will let Debby Tipton and Adriane know of this change.
