Cornel West says, “Justice is what love looks like in public.” In this Earth Day service, Lou Lobinske will wonder about, “What if we didn’t gender the Earth?” and Regina Joseph will explore how the fight for climate justice is also the fight for racial and gender justice. The people most affected by climate change are poor people from oppressed countries and the poorest people in the United States. To fight for climate justice is to show love to the people, the masses of the world. Climate justice is a spiritual commitment to the dignity of all people.
