Lately, in the “news”, there has been a huge effort made to remove crosswalk art on public roads in Florida. I had recently seen the crosswalks near the Leon County Courthouse and was excited to propose doing some artwork on the crosswalks at UUCT. I had barely got that idea ready to propose before things changed in the state… so, it seems like a good thing to do now that artwork on public crosswalks is being removed. 

UUCT has three crosswalks: 1) from Meridian to the walkway down the hill, 2) from the bottom of the walkway to the Sanctuary, and 3) behind the nursery building.

I was wondering if there was an interest in painting these crosswalks, or if that was just something that I thought would be cool. If you are interested and would like to provide input, design ideas or help, then please reach out to me, Leonpta1@yahoo.com.
