The Finance Committee asks all who wish to contribute by check to our Share the Plate partners to follow this practice.  Please make out the check to UUCT and in the memo field of the check, or through an attached note, indicate that the amount is for the particular Share the Plate partner.  For instance, if you wish to give $20 to Manna on Meridian, write UUCT a check for $20 and put Manna on Meridian in the memo field of the check or attach a note.  If the check is made out to Manna on Meridian, we cannot deposit the check, so we either have to return the check to the writer or mail the check on to the charity.  If you wish to contribute for several purposes, such as your pledge and a contribution to a Share the Plate partner, you do  not have to write more than one check.  Again, either through the check memo field or a note, instruct us as to your intentions.  For instance, if you wish to contribute $100 towards your pledge and $20 to Manna on Meridian, write UUCT a check for $120, and in the memo field or on an attached note, write $100 pledge/$20 Manna on Meridian. An example check is below.
