MusicBridges Tallahassee, Inc. provides opportunities for the youth of Tallahassee to succeed through the power of music and diversity, striving to remove obstacles for youth to gain access to educational advancement through musical opportunities.
Bringing violin instruction into Pre-K classes of Title I schools in Tallahassee, Florida, the curriculum aims to strengthen pre-literacy skills and focus while promoting student preparation for kindergarten and building a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Music Bridges will be presenting a Chamber Music Concert benefiting their Connie Sauer-Adams Scholarship fund on Saturday, November 11 at 3:00 pm in the UUCT sanctuary. The concert is open to the public with tickets by donation online at www.MusicBridgesTallahassee.org .
Honoring Tallahassee resident and UUCT Member Carolyn Sauer-Adams (1938-2021), an avid supporter of music and passionate educator, this concert is to raise funds to support the musical studies of young Black and Latinx classical string players in our community. Connie spent her career working to bring hope and educational opportunity to a vulnerable population of students. She enthusiastically encouraged the musicians in her life to use their talents to cultivate and share beauty as performers and teachers.
